Hi all my lovely readers. I’m sorry I haven’t updated you guys much lately. As I mentioned earlier I’ve been finishing up my thesis, and now I’m finally done. There were also events after events last month and I just could not miss Together Festival. The first day was quite disappointing actually, I had expected so much more from Martin Garrix and Marshmello. The second day was amazing though, Axwell & Ingrosso killed it and Armin had a finale show like no other. I want to say that I’m resting forever after this- and I am.. just not today, as it’s gonna be the Cinco De Mayo of the year at Casa Azul tonight. Though I have been doing a 6 day juice cleanse from Lifestyle Juicery which has definitely helped me back to a fresh start. More about the juicing, Maldives and what I’ve been up to lately tomorrow! <3

Dreaming back to the days when I was able to go 5 full days on a juice detox. It was a pretty surreal feeling and looking back at it I’m sure I would never have been able to do that on my own. So thankful I have Tom who doesn’t mind trying out new stuff with me but also the amazing people at LifeCo that constantly pushed us to becoming our greatest. I would not have been able to do it if they weren’t there all the time. It’s nice because you’re on a schedule and they will find you and serve you whatever you need to consume on time. For me I tried to get away with it and not have my shots and so but there was always this one guy who would always stand by my side until I had consumed it all. Remembering how my body looked at that point and also how clear my mind was I do want to try it again, but I know there is no way I can do it here in Bangkok with all these outside distractions.
Been busy training, reading and working these past few days. We’ve also managed to squeeze a lot of social time into our schedule, and eating… non-stop eating! I think I’ve had some sort of dessert or treat every night lately, and it feels great. I like to think that I make up for it in the gym the following day. It feels good to be making gains right now. I hate “gymming” while dieting. Especially now when I haven’t been lifting weights for at least half a year. I started my squat on 40kg which felt heavier than ever. I tried to become stronger while still cutting calories, it was depressing! So now I’m eating whatever I please- I’m staying away from candies though, my biggest weakness.
I want to be stronger and have a somewhat larger body before I start cutting for the beach again (now that rainy season is over!). Every time I try to lose weight I always lose everything else too, so now I want to start big. I don’t want my endpoint to be a stick. I’m aiming for skinny fit, but if I know myself right I’m going to get carried away once I get stronger. My main goals for this year 70kg squats, 40 kg bench, 65kg Romanian deadlift, 75kg deadlift, which is not setting the bar too high at all.
Wish me luck guys!
I obtained some great results staying at the LifeCo. Not only did I feel healthier and more relaxed but I actually lost a couple of kilos as well. I’m well aware that a detox isn’t all about losing weight, but for me this was a good motivational factor to keep me going. It’s important to have something to keep you going while on a detox, especially if you haven’t done it before. Remember to always have an open mind when trying it- scepticism before visiting is normal and of course allowed, but don’t let it define you. Take it seriously for the period of stay. It’s not easy.
As I mentioned earlier I like the way LifeCo has built their premises and programs- they have everything you need on site, nutrition, activities (mandala painting, lifestyle lectures, yoga, meditation, sonic therapy, steam room, infrared saunas, massages, beach walks, food courses, excursions to markets ++), motivational staff, doctors, colon cleansing, library, IV treatments, bikes to get around the area. There isn’t many outside factors that are going to disturb you while you’re trying to focus on cleansing your body. You really don’t have to leave the LifeCo center at all to achieve great results.
There is plenty of programs you can take part of, daily, weekly or even monthly. Some people stay here for months. I think this is a great solution if you’re trying to get away from bad habits that you may have at home (drugs, alcohol, even sugar addiction!) You can discover your health and beauty for a day (for only 1600 baht) or you can stay there on a full detox program, (all inclusive, 405 EUR). The daily program is a taste of what the detox is about, you choose either health or beauty, one including Juice and a raw vegan meal + massage and the other a SAF-Raw meal and facial treatment. Both gives you access to the pool, sauna & steam room and live blood analysis & body composition. We went for the all-inclusive and stayed for 5 days. You can choose between a Master Detox, Green Juice Detox, Green Salad Detox, Ketogenic diet for cancer patients, low-calorie diet and anti-aging programs and Diabetes regulation programs. They have something that fits everyone- I would say it’s better to choose something after talking to the experts, unless you have a clear goal.
The master detox regime (which is the fastest and recommended way to cleanse your body) included 5 daily vegetable juices + some fruit juice and bentonite clay. The rest was wheatgrass shots, lemon juice and Himalayan salt water. If you do crave something warm there is unlimited herbal tea and vegetable soup. But nothing to chew on as we want to relax our digestive system.
I think everyone should go for a detox once in a while or even once in their lives to cleanse their body from toxins from their daily life either that be food, chemicals, stress or a negative mind- or simply because you have an unhealthy lifestyle and need someone to guide you to a better path. The low-calorie diet has nice raw food and salads that could definitely help you lose some- or if you stay for a longer period many kilos. There are mostly people from 35+ that visit this center, you might need it more the older you get, but I would say it’s suitable for people from 25 and onwards aswell. I like the message the project manager and nutrition expert told me, that my body is the most precious and expensive thing I have, why would I fuel it with junk and toxins? Why not give it the best of the best- and always take care of it. Because you’re going to live in that body forever.
What’s special with this place is the people. They believe in what they do. They live and breathe for what they do. When you talk to them you get a genuine feeling that they want to help you and guide you to a better lifestyle. They emphasize on the life after the stay so you don’t bounce back unprepared to the life you had before. Staying at the LifeCo is a life lesson…
Today was our last day here at LifeCo Phuket detox and wellness center. We’ve learned so much during this process about how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and taking care of what’s most important in life, your body and mind. We also got a taste of what it was like to be on a healthy low-calorie vegan diet and I gotta say the food was amazing. I don’t know if the fact that we hadn’t eaten for 3.5 days played a big role in this, but either way it was a lot better than any of the healthy salads I’ve been ordering home in Bangkok.
I’ll try to make a complete post about my stay once I get home to Bangkok. For those of you guys who are curious or interested in doing the same. I know that this isn’t the most important part of a detox, but we weighed in today and we’ve both lost 2 kg after such a short time. That’s pretty crazy!
Good night guys, and don’t forget to watch the premier of The Amazing Race Asia tomorrow! I’m so excited!

It’s been almost four days since I had something to chew on. It feels so weird. I was tired until lunch time today but afterwards my energy level picked up. We went for a long bike around the area and had a nice 30 minute session in the infrared sauna. It’s funny how this place is located in Phuket as it sure doesn’t feel like it. It’s a secluded area with narrow roads and villages.
I like the feeling of this place. There’s mostly tourists staying at The LifeCo but when we were biking around it seemed like they rarely see any. There were “hallo’s” and “how are you” from every corner.
The layout of LifeCo Wellness center is carefully planned and has everything you need inside the premises. Sauna and steam room, doctors, nutritionists, nurses, food and juices, education area/library, yoga, meditation, colon cleansing, gyms, pools are some of the things they offer. It makes you more focused on why you are there and also there’s no temptations to cheat!
Tomorrow is our last day so we’ll be measuring ourselves again in the morning. I’m hoping to see some change in my body mass and weight.
Excited to see if there are some results, it sure looks like it.
See you tomorrow.
