Put together this colourful outfit the other day. Not something I would usually wear, but definitely suitable for a couple of night time drinks. I love this purple top I found at Cotton On. I was going to get black or white…as usual… but thought it was time for something different. They’re actually getting a lot of nice clothes there. Even their gym collection! Weird sizes though. Also I’ve finally found a normal white skirt from Forever21 that I didn’t have to do any adjustments or putting extra layers in to not be see through. Last but not least, my new bag from Charles&Keith. Got it while we were in Singapore and I’m in love. I’ll make up any excuse to wear it. Too bad it’s white and already starting to get stained. 🙁
I seem to be counting down to the weekend every week now. It goes surprisingly fast after Tuesday is passed. I never understood the value of Weekend until I had to work on a schedule. One more day to go! Ticket booked for Buriram and Surin this weekend. Nok Air please don’t cancel on me… I’ve also booked tickets to Chiang Rai for the Easter holiday. First time we’re flying with Thai smile. I’m very curious about this one, as I normally love Thai airways. We’ll be staying at the Anantara golden triangle. So excited for more nature and calm surrounding!! Xoxox
I’ve finally managed to find a way to not let the shitty flavoured protein ruin my lunch shake. There was a new years sale on VX protein on Fitwhey, where I could get 15 lbs of protein for only 3700 baht, how could I resist that? Btw, they still have that sale… no wonder. So, I’ve pretty much been stuck dreading my shakes. It doesn’t help that the protein makes you super bloated either. Tom had also bought a 10 lb bag from ripped freak beforehand which also sucked. I now know I should stick to Dymatize and Musclepharm. Ewww. So I’ve been experimenting on making a yummy shake from this, and only now… when there’s only a couple of lbs left I got it. I gotta add that I’ve started adding spirulina to our shakes as well and it makes it taste like algae or something. So that flavour had to go too. I always make the shake for both me and Tom so, what I’ve added today is:
2 tbsp coconut oil
Handful of frozen strawberries
3 scoops of vx protein chocolate flavour
3 tbs greek yoghurt
2 tsp spirulina
½ banana
And as much water as you please to reach the right consistency suited yourself. I like mine not to thin nor thick so I added 4 dl.
Haha, this photo is ridic. My go get your shake face!
You have no idea how happy I am about it being friday. Only 5 hours of work today. I’m definitely making myself a fatty lunch today just to celebrate. Did someone say carbonara? I think I’ll swing my the gym after work though, as I’m planning to have fun times this weekend. I’ll be at the King’s Cup Charity Elephant Polo Tournament on Saturday. I’m SO excited. Tom’s been hanging out there with his booth which is Casa Azul merged with Day Of The Dead beers. Meaning mexican drinks and food, and daytime drinking in the sun. And I’m really up for that… I love spiced up slushies. The fact that they are playing elephant polo is also pretty awesome. Elephants and monkeys are my favourite animals. The cup is held by Anantara at the river so if you’re up for some nice weekend chilling by the Chao Phraya river you better come here. I also heard that the elephants are from Surin. So they’re pretty much my brothers and sisters. 😀
As I mentioned earlier we were planning to go camping for our trekking and nature trip up North for Tom’s birthday. We had bought our camping gear beforehand and was ready to go. Little did we know about the cold weather that was lying ahead of us. I mean it was FREEZING. It’s already cold up North/Northeast during the winter months, but this time it was extra cold, and they actually told us it was the coldest day this year. So, we played it smart and rented bungalows as we went, which was still pretty cold. Let’s just say we did not use the aircon in any of the places.
Entrance to the hotel from the main road.
On the day of Tom’s birthday, we wanted to stay somewhere nice, so we went on Agora to see if we could get a place with a nice view or even a place with a pool we could hang out by. There were LOTS of options. At this time we were heading to Phitsanulok. After Tom got some time thinking he thought it would be nice to stay somewhere eco-friendly, which I think was a great idea and started googling up something while Tom was driving. This led to me finding the Rain Forest Resort which lies in the outskirts of Phitsanulok. The drive was around 3 hours from Phu Kradung and we arrived after sunset. The hotel is beautiful, full of nature and animal sounds.
Thea pathway into the jungle and our bungalow.
It’s kind of weird as the hotel is located right next to the motorway, but once you enter the hotel, you see greens for as long as the eye can see, and a nice river running through. Now don’t go expecting some Khao Sok or Pai scenery, but for what it was, and where this was located it was beautiful. We got a bungalow with a river view which was perfect. It had a nice outside area where you could chill on the balcony and connect with the nature. It was even nicer the next day after sunrise where you could go and chill on rocks at the river, or even something more comfortable as shaded seating raised on pillars. You can also get a massage there, which we unfortunately didn’t have time to.
Perfect spot to be in your own thoughts…
So serene <3

The breakfast was nice too, and they grow their own vegetables. It was so good we actually bought some for home. I was so jealous when Tom chose a salad instead of fruits, as I expected it to be a normal Thai salad. You know the kind with Oak salad, tomatoes and carrot served with this weird slimy white sauce from Big C… I wished they baked their own bread though, or made their own jam. We didn’t have dinner there, so it might be more homegrown things on the menu then.
You can chill by the river and get a massage here. Perfect spot!
Birthday boiii, so cute!
All in all, we were very satisfied with the hotel. The rooms were nice. It was possible to unwind in the nature, even if it was next to the motorway…. The reason why I mention this twice is because we read beforehand that it was noisy but we did not experience this at all. BUT, we did get a bungalow on the river. I think the hotel rooms are located by the road. Meaning, you will be dissapointed if you’re out for a quick stop and saving money. But if you love nature, and don’t mind spending the little extra. I think you’ll really like it. And also, be prepared for some lukewarm showers, which was pretty cold during the winter months.
I’ve been away from writing lately, but for those days you can follow me on snapchat or instagram. The weekend was chill. We’ve been at Ikea… one of my most favorite places in the world. Don’t ask me why…Hanging out at Tom’s restaurant Casa Azul, which has the best game setup in Bangkok, AND nachos if anyone is into that (who isn’t?!) .
I tried Muay thai with Tom at the Kru Dam gym. My shin is bruised. No kidding. It was really fun, but definitely something I need to get used to. My kicks sucks. My mom is in Thailand now, and brought me lots of yummy cheese and cold cuts from Spain, and my favourite Ajo and Perejil stocks that can be used to make the best carbonara EVER. So if you’re in the neighborhood you know where to go for eats! She’s heading to Surin to visit my grandparents first so I’ll be following her next weekend for some family times. I seriously can’t wait.

I’m missing my family so much these days and hoping my siblings will move down here someday soon. Oh, how school and work is always in the way, hehe. I’ve also started cooking at home. I’m sick of working around soi 11, there’s hardly any good food there. I’ve said to myself I won’t stress with dieting or finding a new workout program until April starts… but when I start cooking at home I get so obsessed with egg white omelets, rice and chicken, broccoli and salads haha. But… going out shopping for food also makes me go crazy over the cereals and chips on the shelves as well. But it honestly doesn’t bother me. April it is, no stress.
Love my new shoes! So plain and comfy. Been looking for these for ages!!!
Oh Tuesday again… the longest working day of the week. It actually isn’t that bad. But hard to get any extra work done when I get home at 11 in the evening. But then again, I do have the whole day for myself before work seeing I don’t start until 3, which is AWESOME. The clock is about to turn in Norway though, so It will be one hour earlier from the 25th which will be a good change.
We been looking far and wide for a weekend place both we and Diego can enjoy so we were super happy to hear that D’ark welcomes you doggie with open arms. We we’re a bit sceptical, seeing this was at Emquartier, but can now comfirm this place is dog friendly for sure!
Diego turned 1 year on the 28 of February. And was stoked about all the attention he got at this place. He also loved being able to join us for Sunday lunch times!
Their homemade ice cream is super yummy. Get the pistachio flavour.❤️
Baby Diego loves french fries 😀
I love the vibe of this place and how it’s actually a proper place to chill and eat while being able to hang out with your furry friend. It’s perfect location for daytime drinking aswell, ehm, I mean a glass of wine…
