Hope everyone’s had an amazing Loy Krathong! This year we celebrated at Chocolate Ville in Bangkok. Fantastic location, I can’t believe I haven’t been before. It’s just like being at Epcot or some amusement park that is not located in Asia. It’s incredibly well maintained. Great ambience and amazing food and drink selection. We had a mixture of Thai and Western food and it was superb. Prices are also very reasonable. Definitely coming back!
Even if you’re last-minute, you’ll find a Halloween party in Bangkok at every corner. Bars and restaurants go all out, which is quite amazing. Open the event page on Facebook and you can see pretty much any of the top ones in Bangkok, as most venues advertise weeks in advance. Since I ‘forgot’ to take a picture of this years costume, I’ve added some of the past years costumes.
Wonder Woman, Dia de los Muertos inspired chick and Tomb Raider. This year… I was the pink bear from Epic Games – Fortnite (Cuddle Team Leader skin for those of you that plays). I’m a bit bummed I didn’t get the mast as well, as I now see that it was an option to order it. I will include the link for you below if you are interested to get one.
2014 (Koi and Ku De Ta)
We were super last-minute that year and ended up going to Petchaburi 18 to the costume rental shop. Awesome selections!
Of all the places I’ve lived or visited during Halloween, Bangkok definitely is on the top when it comes to selection of party venue. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is, people are going all out in one way or another costumes or not! This year was no exception. We started out with beers and tacos at Casa Azul, a Mexican restaurant located in Soi Ari before going to Atomic in Thonglor. Atomic was super fun with loads of games like beer pong and some other games which I had too many beers to remember what was called. Do check it out if you’re into games.
We had the beef tartar, some cheeses from their cheese selection and fresh oysters. All yum!
I’ve been to The Bar Upstairs a couple of times in the past few months but never had the change to eat there until yesterday. I was quite impressed by the quality of their food.. Their Brie de Meaux is the best one I’ve had in Bangkok so far. I loved the Fine de Claire oysters, so fresh and tasty and if you book through Chope you can get a buy1 get1 deal for the oysters. I always go to El Mercado for their fresh food selection, but I have to say, they have now got competition. They only down side is that the bar is located in Sukhumvit soi 11, which is not my go-to place when going out. Though with all these new great places popping up, it might be. If you are going out or just wanting to get a couple of drinks in this place might be something for you, they also have an great wine selection along with a good selection of their own spins of mainstream cocktails.
I had so much fun doing this collaboration with MyUS!
MyUS is a shipping company located in The US with the main goal of offering affordable and fast shipping to people in Thailand and across the globe. The challenge was to pick anything under or equal to 100$. I’m so amazed at how many things you can actually get at Amazon for this amount. I know for a fact that 3 of these items costs more than this as these are products I usually buy… so getting 10 items extra was insane.
The best part was the things that I can’t get my hands on in Thailand which is probably the main reason why I will keep using this company. Like the Aveeno make-up wipes. I’ve never found anything better and the only time I can get them is when my sister visits or I go to the state myself which means… not too often.
You might have noticed that many US stores don’t offer shipping to Thailand so this is where MyUs comes in (ehm… Amazon). They offer you to use their address in the US where they repackage your goods and send them to you in Thailand. You can send as many packages as you want, though it is recommended that you wait and bundle them to send them all at once to save costs.
Shipping price is based on package weight starting at just $13.99 to Thailand!

Went to see Kygo this week and I was blown away with his performance. Perfect choice of tunes and some amazing vocal and instrumental segments.
Fantastic Crew!
So glad to finally get to see him live. I feel lame for being a Norwegian and this being my first time, but how awesome to get to see Kygo Live in Bangkok! Good organising from Teddy Time. Excited to see who they bring next!
Yes I know guys…. I disappeared after Chiang Mai. I had to recover from all the coffees, sweets and delicious foods.
But first, check out this awesome café we stumbled upon when we were in Chiang mai called Woo Café & Art Gallery. Definitely one of the most Instagrammable coffee shops I’ve ever been to. ♥
Scroll down to see all the awesome pictures!

Annoyingly many places to snap a photo!
SMILE!
The iced coffee comes in LARGE glasses. You’ll see what I mean here.
The coffee was good and as you can see, the presentation was great! I LOVED that the coffee was served with a tiny cookie bite. We had already eaten lunch at the golf club before arriving so I can’t tell you if the food is on par with the coffee. What I can say is that it looked amazing and I deeply regret the fact that I came on a full stomach. Also, don’t forget to go upstairs and check out the art gallery. I fell in love with several of the pieces, and especially the one of two gigantic blue eyes gazing at me. You’ll know which one I’m talking about… unless it’s snatched already!
