    Dhara Dhevi

    I was super excited knowing we were going to stay two nights at Dhara Dhevi and on top of that in a villa with plunge pool. We had looked it up online beforehand and were already dreaming about the luxury. Things got even better when we upon arrival got the news of a private pool villa upgrade. So I guess it’s no surprise when I tell you that we almost spent the whole weekend on the property of Dhara Dhevi. Already when you arrive and see the main entrance, you know it’s not just going to be any other hotel stay, but an experience.  The first thought that goes through your mind is that you have found a hidden palace. The people that works there are so friendly and you will not meet a single person who won’t smile and greet you, or help you out if there is anything they can do for you.

    We were taken on a little tour around the property of the hotel and were stunned. The land is divine and it’s like you’re no longer in Chiang Mai, but a magical kingdom far far away. Gorgeously carved wood and white concrete, rice fields, temples and ruins are some of the details that make the perfect scenery. If you want to keep yourself busy while you’re there,  they also offer lots of fun activities like rice planting, cooking school and arts and crafting.

    Since I absolutely had to go to the night bazar to have my favourite pizza in all of Thailand (It’s absolutely worth mentioning) at The Dukes, we didn’t get much time to try out the restaurants at the resort. But, luckily we did have time to try out a couple of courses at one of them called “Farang ses”, and the French cuisine there is amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection. Not to mention all the stunning details in the restaurant. I also want to recommend you to visit their cake shop. Try their “afternoon tea” set, you won’t be disappointed. People actually come all the way to the hotel just to watch the scenery and visit the cake shop.

    I love how they pay attention to the details, nothing is ordinary, they think of everything.

    Many people say it’s to expect good service from 5 stars hotels and I agree, but Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai is something different. They have really understood what service is all about, and I have never stayed at a place with less to complain about than this. I would absolutely recommend this place for anyone willing to spend some extra money for accommodation, because you will be spending it on excellence.

    ฉันรู้สึกตื่นเต้นมาที่จะได้พักที่ ดาราเทวี ที่วิลล่าพร้อมสระว่ายน้ำ เราได้ดูรูปออนไลน์และใฝ่ฝันตลอด และข่าวดียิ่งกว่าคือ เมื่อเราไปถึง เราได้อัพเกรดเป็นห้องพร้อมสระว่ายน้ำส่วนตัว และฉันเดาว่าไม่น่าแปลกใจที่ฉันจะบอกว่าเราใช้เวลาเกือบทั้งหมดอยู่ในที่พักของดาราเทวี เมื่อเพื่อนๆไปถึงและได้เห็นทางเข้า เพื่อนๆจะรู้ได้ทันทีว่าจะได้รับประสบการณ์ที่สุดยอด ความคิดแรกที่แวบเข้ามาคือ ได้พบกับวังที่ซ่อนตัวอยู่ พนักงานใจดีทุกคนและทุกคนจะยิ้มและทักทายหรือช่วยเหลือหากเพื่อนๆต้องการ

    พนักงานพาเราทัวร์รอบๆโรงแรมและเรารู้สึกตะลึง พื้นที่นี้ยอดเยี่ยมมากและให้ความรู้สึกว่าเพื่อนๆไม่ได้อยู่ที่เชียงใหม่ แต่อยู่ในดินแดนแห่งเวทย์มนต์ที่ไกลแสนไกล ไม่แกะสลักอันงดงามและพื้นคอนกรีตสีขาว ทุ่งหญ้าสีทอง วัดและซากปรักหักพังต่างๆ ทำให้เป็นทิวทัศน์ที่สมบูรณ์ หากเพื่อนๆต้องการหาอะไรทำระหว่างอยู่ที่นั่น มีกิจกรรมต่างๆจากโรงแรม ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การปลูกข้าว เรียนทำอาหารหรือแกะสลัก

    เนื่องจากฉันอยากไปตลาดไนท์ บาซาร์มาก เพื่อทานพิซซ่าที่อร่อยที่สุดในประเทศไทย (ฉันขอบอกชื่อเลย) ที่ร้าน The Dukes เราจึงไม่มีเวลาลองชิมอาหารที่ห้องอาหารในรีสอร์ท แต่เราได้ลองชิมคอร์สอาหารที่ใช้ชื่อว่า “เซตฝรั่ง” ส่วนอาหารฝรั่งเศสก็อร่อยสุดยอด เนื้อย่างได้ดีมาก และรายละเอียดอื่นๆของห้องอาหารที่ฉันต้องพูดถึง ฉันขอแนะนำให้เพื่อนๆลองร้านขนมเค้ก และลองทาน “เซตน้ำชายามบ่าย” เพื่อนๆจะไม่ผิดหวังเลยค่ะ เพราะลูกค้าส่วนใหญ่เดินทางมาไกลถึงโรงแรมเพื่อรับชมวิวและทานเค้ก

    หลายๆคนเห็นตรงกันว่ารีสอร์ทนี้มีการบริการระดับ 5 ดาว และฉันเห็นด้วย แต่รีสอร์ท ดาราเทวี เชียงใหม่ มีความแตกต่าง เพราะที่นี่เข้าใจความหมายการบริการอย่างแท้จริง และฉันไม่เคยพักที่ไหนที่ไม่มีการติน้อยเท่านี้มาก่อน ฉันขอแนะนำรีสอร์ทนี้เลยสำหรับผู้ที่ต้องการเสียเงินเพิ่มเล็กน้อย เพราะจะได้รับการบริการที่คุ้มค่าเงิน

    สุดท้ายนี้ ฉันขอขอบคุณประเทศไทย ที่เลือกฉัน และโรงแรมดาราเทวี สำหรับการบริการที่ยอดเยี่ยมระหว่างการเข้าพัก รวมถึงการอัพเกรดห้องพัก

    Khao Sok

    I still haven’t posted about our trip to  Khao Sok, this April. So I thought I’d write you a little post from there until I have all the photos from Chiang Mai. We had seen a lot of pictures from the place before going there and I must say, the pics didn’t  do any justice. It was truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my life. The scenery was breathtaking, and I loved how peaceful and quiet the place was.

    There’s a lot of great things to say about the place, but since I’m not really writing a travelling blog, I thought I would keep it short.

    The first experience we had, and also one of the best ones;  was Khao Sok Discovery boutique camps. We had seen this hotel online before hand, and I can honestly say that this is one of the few hotels that looks even better in real life. The luxury camp is located on the cliffs of Khao Sok, just around 10min drive from the national park. The  rooms themselves are big tents raised on wooden pillars. You actually get a Tarzan and Jane in the jungle feeling staying there. The view is amazing, and just staying at the hotel itself is an experience. You’re not going to want to leave your room. One important thing to mention is the remarkable service, they really give you more than you could ever ask for.

    Just the view was enough to make us pick this hotel. Can you imagine waking up with this morning view?

    And then over to the dam…

    On our way into the dam. 10 minutes into the dam, you lose your signal but in return you start seeing the spectacular limestone cliffs and natural jungle.

    A part of Khao Sok’s woodland was flooded in 1982 when the Rajjaprabha project was completed and the artificial lake Chiew Larn was created. The lake is said to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, with over 100 islands with towering limestone cliffs that give the lake its fairy-tale scenery. We had the pleasure of staying on the dam for one night, and I have to say- it was the absolute best experience of the whole trip.The long tail boat from the pier to the rafthouses took just over an hour. The whole ride we were stunned, still and clear water, sun was shining, large mountains filled with green plants. It’s like you’re in a different world where there’s no worries. It’s just you and the nature. Even if the sun was blazing and we were all sweating, I think I’m speaking for all saying I wished the ride never ended. And when you think it can’t get any better, you arrive at the raft houses- the scenery is spectacular!

    Emerald colored waters for as far as our sight could reach. The one hour long tail boat ride into the dam was like a dream.

    Peace and quiet…

    Everything is picture perfect. The foggy morning, the sunny daytime with clear skies and fresh water to play in… The night sky filled with stars… It really is a dreamland and I would recommend every single one of you guys to go there.

    ตอนนี้ฉันยังไม่ได้โพสต์เกี่ยวกับทริปที่เขาสกเมื่อเดือนเมษาที่ผ่านมา ฉันจึงคิดว่าควรจะเขียนสักเล็กน้อยจนกว่าจะได้รูปทั้งหมดจากทริปเชียงใหม่ และก่อนการเดินทางเราได้ดูรูปมากมาย และฉันพูดเลยว่า ฉันไม่เคยเห็นที่ไหนมาก่อน ทำให้ฉันอยากหยุดหายใจเลย เพราะฉันได้หลงรักความสงบและเงียบของสถานที่นี้

    มีสิ่งต่างๆที่ต้องพูดถึงมากมายเกี่ยวกับที่นี่ แต่เนื่องจากฉันไม่ได้เขียนบล็อกเกี่ยวกับการท่องเที่ยว ฉันขอเล่าย่อๆแล้วกันนะคะ

    ประสบการณ์แรกที่เราได้รับและเป็นหนึ่งในประสบการณ์ที่ดีทีสุด คือ แคมป์บูติกเขาสก เพราะเราได้ดูโรงแรมนี้ล่วงหน้าและฉันพูดได้เลยว่าเป็นหนึ่งในไม่กี่โรงแรมที่ดูดีกว่าในรูป แคมป์สุดหรูหราตั้งอยู่บนหน้าผาเขาสก ขับจากอุทยาน 10 นาที ห้องพักเป็นเตนท์ขนาดใหญ่บนเสาไม้ ให้ความรู้สึกว่าเพื่อนๆเป็นทาร์ซานและเจนเลยทีเดียว วิวที่พักสุดยอดมาก และการได้เข้าพักเป็นประสบการณ์ที่ดีมากๆ เพื่อนจะไม่อยากออกจากห้องพักเลย สิ่งหนึ่งที่สำคัญคือการบริการที่โดดเด่น โดยให้มากกว่าที่คุณต้องการ

     

    พื้นที่ป่าเขาสกส่วนหนึ่งน้ำท่วมในปี 1982 ครั้งเมื่อโครงการรัชประภาและเขื่อนเชี่ยวหลานสร้างเสร็จ โดยเขื่อนได้รับการยกย่องให้เป็นเขื่อนที่สวยที่สุด มีเกาะเล็กเกาะน้อยมากกว่า 100 เกาะ และหอคอยหินปูน ทำให้ดูเหมือนหลุดออกมาจากเทพนิยาย  เรามีความพึงพอใจทีได้ค้างที่เขื่อนหนึ่งคืน และเป็นประสบการณ์ที่ดีที่สุดของทั้งทริป เรือหางยาวจากท่าเรือไปยังบ้านแพใช้เวลาเพียงหนึ่งชั่วโมง ตลอดทั้งการเดินทางสร้างความตื่นตาอย่างยิ่ง พระอาทิตย์ส่องแสงงดงาม ภูเขาสูงใหญ่เต็มไปด้วยหญ้าเขียวขจี  ทำให้เกิดความรู้สึกเหมือนกับว่าอยู่อีกโลกหนึ่งโดยไร้ซึ่งความกังวล โดยมีเพียงคุณและธรรมชาติเท่านั้น และถึงแม้ว่าแสงจะแรงมากและเราเหงื่อท่วมตัว แต่ฉันไม่อยากให้การเดินทางโดยเรือต้องสิ้นสุด และเมื่อคิดว่าจะได้พบกับสิ่งที่ดีกว่า เมื่อตอนเดินทางถึงแพ วิวที่เห็นมันยอดเยี่ยมจริงๆ!

    ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างคือภาพที่สมบูรณ์ เช้าที่เต็มไปด้วยหมอก และวันที่สดใน แสงแดดจ้า ท้องฟ้าโปร่ง และน้ำสะอาดสำหรับลงเล่น กลางคืนท้องฟ้าเต็มไปด้วยดวงดาว…ที่นี่ คือ ดินแดนในฝันอย่างแท้จริงและฉันอยากจะแนะนำแก่ทุกๆคน

    Private island

    Hi lovelies

    I promised I’d tell you guys a little bit about our trip, so here we go… As I said we made a trip to Trang, which is located in the south of Thailand. We visited the three islands, Koh Kradan, Koh Mook and Koh Libong, spending two nights on each of them. In this post, I thought I would tell you about Kradan, which was the first and in my eyes the best of the island we visited.

    Despite its natural beauty, Koh Kradan is still largely unknown as a tourism destination.

    The island itself is very easy to get to, you can either book the whole trip on the airport on arrival, or you can go by van to the pier and then get a boat. (which is half  the price).  We went there during low season, so it was only a handful of tourist there, which I absolutely loved. It was so peaceful and quiet there. There were only three resorts open, and just one restaurant on the whole island. The beaches are white and sandy with crystal clear waters. Apparently it’s a perfect destination for scuba diving and snorkeling during high season.

    There’s swings and hammocks everywhere and it’s picture perfect whatever angle you get a picture from.

    The colours there are perfect. Everything fits so beautifully together. All existing shades of blue. Dreamy.

    Couples paradise. You can see our little beach hut in the background. Perfectly located on the beach. They also have more luxurious accommodations with aircon aswell, but we loved these.

    We had an amazing time on the island. There was only one thing to complain about and that was the mosquitos. We didn’t get to see the sunset on the island, seeing all the accommodation was on the sunrise side of the island. We tried walking through the forest but there was no chance. There were hundreds of mosquitos and even how hard we tried to brush them off they were stuck! I looked like something walking out of a bee’s nest after entering the forest. Coming during low season also means you need to be able to eat Thai food, as there is  only one restaurant. I’m sure it’s very different during high season, but seriously I’d trade variety of food and drinks for fewer people and littering any day.  Oh yes, and no electricity from ca 9am to 6pm which really isn’t a problem. Seriously guys, it’s just like having your own little private island.

    If you ever go to Thailand, you should visit! So far this is my favourite island in all of Thailand. Remember, you can also make it a day trip from one of the other islands.

    ฉันได้สัญญากับเพื่อนๆว่าจะมาเขียนเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับทริปนี้ และอ่านกันได้เลยค่ะ…ตามที่ได้บอกไว้ว่าฉันได้ไปเที่ยวตรังมา เราได้ไปทั้งหมดสามเกาะ คือ เกาะกระดาน เกาะมุก และเกาะลิบง โดยค้างสองคืนในแต่ละเกาะ สำหรับโพสต์นี้ ฉันขอเล่าเกี่ยวกับเกาะกระดานแล้วกันนะคะ ซึ่งเป็นเกาะที่สวยที่สุดที่ฉันเคยไปเยือนมา

    เกาะนี้เดินทางไปง่ายมาก เพียงจองทริปทั้งหมดที่สนามบินเมื่อไปถึง หรือสามารถเดินทางโดยรถตู้ไปยังท่าเรือและต่อเรือ (ราคาถูกกว่าครึ่ง) เราไปตอนหน้าโลว์ จึงมีนักท่องเที่ยวไม่เยอะมาก และฉันชอบบรรยากาศแบบนี้มาก เกาะนี้ทั้งเงียบและสงบ มีเพียงสามรีสอร์ทที่เปิดให้บริการ และมีเพียงร้านอาหารแห่งเดียวจากทั้งเกาะ ชายหาดที่นั่นขาวและน้ำใสมาก เป็นจุดหมายปลายทางสำหรับการดำน้ำลึกและตื้นอย่างแท้จริงในช่วงไฮซีซั่น

    เรามีช่วงเวลาที่สุดยอดมากที่เกาะ สิ่งเดียวที่ฉันขอบ่นคือยุง เราไม่ได้ดูพระอาทิตย์ตก เพราะที่พักทั้งหมดตั้งอยู่ทางตะวันขึ้น เราลองเดินป่าแต่ไม่สามารถเข้าไปได้ มียุงมากเหลือเกิน ! การเดินทางมาช่วงโลว์ หมายความว่าคุณต้องสามารถทานอาหารไทยได้ เพราะฉันแน่ใจว่าหน้าไฮจะไม่ได้เป็นแบบนี้ แต่หากเป็นฉัน ฉันจะให้บริการอาหารต่างๆและเครื่องดื่มทุกวัน และระหว่างเวลาสามทุ่มถึงหกโมงเช้าจะไม่มีไฟฟ้าใช้ แต่ไม่ได้เป็นปัญหากับเราเลย ซึ่งให้ความรู้สึกว่าเราเป็นเจ้าของเกาะเล็กๆนี้

    หากเพื่อนๆได้มีโอกาสเดินทางมาเยือนเมืองไทย เพื่อนๆต้องมาที่นี่! นี่คือเกาะที่ฉันชอบมากที่สุดในเมืองไทยขณะนี้ อย่าลืมว่า เพื่อนๆสามารถข้ามไปอีกเกาะได้ระหว่างวัน
