    Anantara elephant camp

This little fella came to see us and get some treats during breakfast

    Amazing restaurant view

    Solid breakkie ❤️

We’re chillin at the Anantara elephant camp up north in Chiang Rai. I’ll update you all about this heavenly place later. But for now we’re off to the Golden Triangle, Chang Saen and a little trip to the elephant camp to see all the beautiful elephants. ❤️🐘

    Purple Thursday

Put together this colourful outfit the other day. Not something I would usually wear, but definitely suitable for a couple of night time drinks. I love this purple top I found at Cotton On. I was going to get black or white…as usual… but thought it was time for something different. They’re actually getting a lot of nice clothes there. Even their gym collection! Weird sizes though. Also I’ve finally found a normal white skirt from Forever21 that I didn’t have to do any adjustments or putting extra layers in to not be see through. Last but not least, my new bag from Charles&Keith. Got it while we were in Singapore and I’m in love. I’ll make up any excuse to wear it. Too bad it’s white and already starting to get stained. 🙁

I seem to be counting down to the weekend every week now. It goes surprisingly fast after Tuesday is passed. I never understood the value of Weekend until I had to work on a schedule. One more day to go! Ticket booked for Buriram and Surin this weekend. Nok Air please don’t cancel on me… I’ve also booked tickets to Chiang Rai for the Easter holiday. First time we’re flying with Thai smile.  I’m very curious about this one, as I normally love Thai airways. We’ll be staying at the Anantara golden triangle. So excited for more nature and calm surrounding!!

    Best shake recipe EVER

I’ve finally managed to find a way to not let the shitty flavoured protein ruin my lunch shake. There was a new years sale on VX protein on Fitwhey, where I could get 15 lbs of protein for only 3700 baht, how could I resist that? Btw, they still have that sale… no wonder. So, I’ve pretty much been stuck dreading my shakes. It doesn’t help that the protein makes you super bloated either. Tom had also bought a 10 lb bag from ripped freak beforehand which also sucked. I now know I should stick to Dymatize and Musclepharm. Ewww. So I’ve been experimenting on making a yummy shake from this, and only now… when there’s only a couple of lbs left I got it. I gotta add that I’ve started adding spirulina to our shakes as well and it makes it taste like algae or something. So that flavour had to go too. I always make the shake for both me and Tom so, what I’ve added today is:

    • 2 tbsp coconut oil
    • Handful of frozen strawberries
    • 3 scoops of vx protein chocolate flavour
    • 3 tbs greek yoghurt
    • 2 tsp spirulina
    • ½ banana

And as much water as you please to reach the right consistency suited yourself. I like mine not to thin nor thick so I added 4 dl.

    Daily dose of Vitamin D

Trying to start my days by the pool to get my daily dosage of vitamin D. It’s easier said than done, so we definitely gotta push that one a bit more. Gonna go walk little beast Diego soon. He has started to become a little baby in the morning; meaning he cries until we wake up. If that doesn’t work he’ll jump on the bed or pull of our blanket. It’s both cute AND ANNOYING at the same time. After walkies we’re gonna try make it to Sampeng market to check out some packaging before I go to work. Crossing my fingers we’ll make it!

    Back in Bangkok

The whole trip started out pretty nice on the blog front, but then I just became too busy trying to do things and agh I just forgot, or couldn’t be bothered. I don’t know which one. I mean… at least I blogged one day! It was super slow writing with the phone. Try travelling in around Europe and the States, get good wifi and write a couple of hundred words on an Iphone 6 and tell me what you think… I swear there was something wrong with my wordpress app which made it even more annoying. Instead I was thinking I’d write you posts from the trip the following days, most likely one from each country.

We had such an amazing time and I think I speak for the both of us when I say we are pretty bummed to be back from our holiday mode. Bangkok is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes being away from home and not have any responsibility other than exploring and trying new things is pretty awesome and something you don’t want to be over with.

girl standing in the street in benidorm

Walking around the streets of Benidorm after a day with paella, tapas and sangria on the beach…

I got got to witness beautiful beaches and waterfalls, walk around in big cities with beautiful architecture , see beautiful paintings from talented artists from the past…many straight from school textbooks and not to mention, had all sorts of delicious food and treats. I think I drank at least 10 bottles of wine. I’m pretty sure unless I was living in Thailand I would be a fattie. Thank god our food is semi healthy.

We went to the Supermarket and Mercado Central in Alicante right before we left Spain and raided the places for both cheese, wine and cold cuts, and doritos and cheese balls… we also have loads of candies and cakes from London, so I’m pretty screwed for a while. I’m Saying I instead of we, as Tom is normally a lot better at controlling his intake of sweets than I am. If feels so good to not care about what I eat right now but I know I’m going to have to pay for it once I start going to the gym again.

We are moving back to our old condo by the end of this month and Tom actually passed it the other day and saw that they are building a brand new gym right next door, and best of all… it’s 24 hours, so we have no excuse. They are opening around the 21st, so I’m just going to chill at home with my cheese until then, THANKS.

    Reasons to go to Norway

Norwegian nature. If you ever visit Norway make sure you get to see as much nature as possible. The air is so fresh and clears your mind and soul. No kidding.

    BEST KEBAB.

Mmm, Norwegian ice cream sandwich makes the summer complete. I’ve tried the Häagen-Dazs one in Thailand, and NO the “bread” is not supposed to be crispy!!

Pizza is my favourite food and Orion in Levanger has the best one on this planet. I love love love theit garlic and bernaise sauce !!

    BEST PIZZA.IN.THE.WORLD AT ORION, LEVANGER.

Pepsi Max is best in Norway… just ask ANYONE.

Bye bye Norway it’s time for me to leave and be off to New york! I’m pretty sure I will never settle in Norway, but I always get sad when I have to leave. Lately I’ve only gone for under a week when I’ve headed home but normally I go for 4-7 weeks and I still feel down when I go. I don’t know if it’s because I’ll miss the food, or being able to walk around in fresh air and nature or if it’s simply the tought of not staying at home with my family in my childhood bed where I sometimes feel like I belong.  I think it’s the last part.

This trip I’ve been doing most of the things Norways is known for, enjoying the beautiful nature and eating amazing food, candies and other treats…I’m already up by 2 kilos so I’m scared to see what New York brings.

Talk to you real soon! Xx
