From 8th to 2nd in Bandung!

It was a bitter sweet feeling arriving 2nd at Kebun Teh Ciater on the second leg of The Amazing Race Asia season 5. We were really happy that we managed to climb 6 places up the ladder but we were just so darn close to the 1st place… We finished the detour first- (2nd if you count both the detours) and arrived at the roadblock 1st. We were there for around 30 minutes looking for the clue. By that time Louisa and Treasuri had arrived (luckily they also skipped their clue). Yvonne and Chloe arrived the tea plantation third, but they had their eyes open and found the clue at the entrance. This gave them the 1st position and they managed to finish by the time we got to the challenge. It took me like 5 minutes to find that Wayang Golek and we finished straight after them… meaning if we hadn’t wasted our time skipping the clue we would have been way ahead. It really shows that it doesn’t matter if you’re only good at challenges- finding clues along the way, getting into the right cab, going the right direction, keeping your heads cold counts just as much, if not more!

Big Thanks to Melvin from Grab Indonesia for being the best driver EVER, we would never have gotten to Bandung that fast if it wasn’t for him. I think we were eight for a reason last round so our paths could cross in this leg!

Will we finally get our first place in next epiosde? Tune in on AXN Thursday at 8pm Bangkok time to see!

If you haven’t seen the episode yet it’s available to steam from AXN’s webpage.
